Ascending the Hill is a worship ministry that creates an environment allowing musicians and artists to express their hearts in worship to the Lord. The unique part about this ministry is how we do it.
We do this by first focusing our hearts and minds on the Lord. Second, we abandon all structure. We do not play anything we know as musicians. Everything is completely spontaneous and free. Every song that you hear on this site, every CD that has been released, consists entirely of songs captured in an environment in which the musicians play out spontaneously. The musicians have no idea what they are about to play. The singers have never uttered the words they end up singing.
We have found that as we worship in this way, God has revealed to us that music is a gift; it is a gift from Him. As we offer this gift of music back to Him in an intimate and often times vulnerable way, His presence cannot stay away!  |
