With practically a different lineup every year since 2005, the band finds its identity in its longest lasting member: lead vocalist Trey Pearson. While his signature raw style sounds better than ever, the group's fifth full-length studio album is far from a revelation. Lyrically solid yet musically simple, there is nothing particularly new to be found here. Best Night of Our Lives finds Everyday Sunday returning to their roots and strips away some of the polish found on their 2007 release, Wake Up! Wake Up! Far less accessible than their previous collection, longtime fans will probably enjoy this album the most. The songs here showcase an extremely talented and mature songwriter, yet one who may never reach his potential due to the lack of stability in his band. Another album and another lineup, it's hard not to wonder how many more years this 12-year old group has in them. Everyday Sunday are talented this much is true. This album, while enjoyable, just isn't their best...
