Will Rayburn is currently a full-time Worship Pastor in Seymour, Indiana. He, with the support of his wife and children, has been serving in this capacity since 2008. Will was saved at a very early age and always knew the calling on his life is to lead worship. In his late teens he was dramatically touched by the fire of God at a youth meeting in Hamilton, Alabama. He has never been the same since that meeting. It marked the beginning of Will’s journey to fully surrender to the Holy Spirit and His plan for his life.
Will Rayburn was born in Meridian, Mississippi and grew up in South Louisiana. His parents both served as pastors there for 21 years. Will worked as a construction worker until age 20 when he was offered his first full-time ministry position at a church in Mississippi where he served as Worship and Youth Pastor for four years.
Music has always been more than just a pleasurable past-time for Will. Music has been God’s call on Will’s life. Will enjoys and has been inspired by artists such as Jason Morant, Jeremy Camp, Jason Upton and Rick Pino. Now, God’s call on Will’s life enters a new chapter.
On 5/9/2009, Will singed a recording contract with Lift Records. Most of the songs on this project were written during times of spontaneous praise and worship in live services. Will gives all the credit for these songs to the moving of the Holy Spirit.
“We are not the priority in worship. I believe that true worship music should be about what the Father wants to hear from His children. When we declare the awesomeness of our God, He shows Himself to us. The Bible says that when we see Him we will become like Him. Many of my songs talk about the rain of the Holy Spirit. This rain is the manifest presence of Jesus, when He shows up in response to our worship and moves over the hearts of His people.” Will Rayburn
